Herbs & Plant Greens
Neem
Neem has been used in traditional folk medicine and as a home remedy for acne because it helps rid the skin of bacteria. It also helps reduce redness and inflammation. The high fatty-acid content in neem oil is said to prevent and treat scars from acne and is non-comedogenic
Tulsi
Tulsi is highly regarded in Ayurvedic medicine. It is believed to reduce stress and help the body adapt to its surroundings.
Tulsi’s benefits aren’t limited to stress reduction; it’s one of nature’s best skincare ingredients.
1. Tulsi detoxifies the body. It is deeply absorbed by the skin, reaching all layers evenly and making it possible for purification and cleansing to happen on the surface and the epidermis– the surface just beneath the outer layer.
2. Tulsi is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, and these properties are mainly aided by adaptogens. Tulsi doesn’t just reduce inflammation at the site of a skin disturbance but it directs the way the body reacts to future occurrences. Tulsi is also antibacterial. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is a succulent plant and stores water in its leaves, which are thick and fleshy. Aloe Vera is rich in Vitamin C, E and beta carotene which gives it its nourishing and anti-ageing qualities. It moisturises the skin without making it greasy hence acts as a miracle herb for oily skin.
